Meatshare cancellation and refund policy

Order Statuses

  • Pending
  • Confirmed
  • Processing
  • Processed
  • Delivering
  • Delivered

1. Pending

Customer may cancel.

Refund:
Full refund less payment processing fees where applicable.

2. Confirmed

Customer may request cancellation.

Refund may be granted where:

  • MeatShare can successfully reallocate the livestock share.
  • Administration fees may apply.
  • Payment processing fees are non-refundable.

3. Processing

NO CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS
Processing begins when livestock has been transported to the abattoir and committed to processing.
Once order status changes to Processing, refunds and cancellations are no longer available.

4. Processed

No cancellation.
No refund.

Exceptions:

  • Incorrect order supplied.
  • Food safety issue.
  • Australian Consumer Law rights apply.

5. Delivering

No cancellation.
No refund.

Exceptions:
Australian Consumer Law rights apply.

6. Delivered

Refunds only where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Solo Share Orders

If a Solo Share has not reached required participation:

MeatShare may:

  • Continue advertising
  • Merge compatible orders
  • Offer alternative livestock
  • Cancel and refund participants

Once the order enters Processing, standard cancellation rules apply.

Share With Friends Orders

Orders proceed only when required participants have paid.

MeatShare may:

  • Replace unpaid participants
  • Reallocate shares
  • Cancel incomplete shared orders

Once the order enters Processing, no refunds or cancellations are available.

Weight Variance

Livestock weights are estimates.

Variations in:

  • Live weight
  • Carcass weight
  • Take-home weight

are normal and do not qualify for refunds.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes customer rights under Australian Consumer Law.
